Processed Wood Pallet Perfect For Problem-Free Export

Inka says its disposable pallet is the ideal cargo carrier for air freight: low-cost, light, ISPM-15-compliant and safe. That is why an increasing number of customers are choosing presswood pallets for their air freight shipments. At logistics specialist Lagermax in Salzburg, too, more and more air freight shipments are arriving on Inka pallets.
Lagermax services customers from Austria, Germany and other European neighbour states at its location in Salzburg. In addition to import and export of shipments via air freight, Lagermax also assumes customs clearance and maintains a self-owned customs warehouse at the airport.
Air freight shipments are delivered ready for carriage, which means that they were already suitably packaged as air freight by the sender. It used to be the case that shipments arrived on wooden Euro-pallets. By now, however, the Inka disposable presswood pallet has taken over.
This is not primarily due to the fact that disposable pallets are often more practical for air freight; after all, the Inka is not the only disposable pallet on the market. The appeal of the Inka pallet is rather its suitability for problem-free export: as opposed to wooden pallets, the Inka is ISPM-15-compliant, is classified as processed wood and is thereby exportable without any prior treatment and markings.
Additionally, the Inka pallet is inexpensive and can be stacked in a space-saving way; it is therefore well-suited for stocking. Inka pallets are available in a number of types, from the 1/4 Euro-pallet to the square container format. There is no preferred type in the air freight sector, says Günter Fridrich, head of personnel management and corporate communication at Lagermax: Ideally, the pallet type corresponds with the shipment as closely as possible. Thereby, the Inka pallet allows for optimising required space and, in particular, shipment weight especially since the Inka is a lightweight in comparison to wooden pallets.
