Big Bag Divider Aims To Cure Bulk Bag Issues

Cabka-IPS has come up with a potential solution for the efficient handling of bulk bags. The company says the loading equipment is easy to stack; during handling it protects the filled bags from the fork arms of industrial trucks to reduce downtimes and costs.
Bulk bags are a popular solution for transporting and storing bulk goods.
However, the proper handling of the bags presents logistics experts with a number of challenges. For example, bulk bags filled with powder and granules tend to shift, causing the bags to sag. And if wooden pallets are used, nails, splinters, or sharp edges often come into play. The consequence: The bags are damaged quickly and bulk goods spill out. Forklift arms can also be problematic. They often tear bulk bags when pallets are unstacked quickly.
Cabka-IPS has recognized this challenge and developed the BigBag Divider – which it calls a solution tailored to real-world applications. Its main element are four-sided fork shafts enabling safe and easy stacking and unstacking by industrial truck. The tunnel design protects the bags from contact with the fork arms, which can easily move in and out of the robust guidings.
Cabka-IPS’ innovation is free from splinters and sharp edges to protect the bags stacked in this manner against abrasion and tearing.
Available dimensions are 1,016 × 1,016 × 137mm and 1,092 × 1,092 × 137mm.
Its flat and stable contact surface is ideal for automated conveying systems. Specially raised edges prevent bags from slipping or overlapping, further reducing the risk of damage.
Versatile loading equipment
This loading equipment is claimed to offer huge savings potentials because it is custom-designed it for block stacking. In addition, the BigBag Divider is very flexible. As a disposable low-cost option, it is made from recycled PO plastic while the polyethylene HDPE version is ideal for reusable bags, logistics cycles, and long-term use in warehouses. The divider is robust and yet lightweight: Depending on dimensions and model, it weighs between 6.5 and 8.5kg when empty. It is particularly powerful: Its static bearing capacity is up to 2.5t, and up to 1.2t in transport. Thanks to its wide contact surface it can transport even tall loads safely and steadily on conveying systems.
