Network Planning Options Added to Latest inconsoTMS Release
22nd December 2017
The inconso AG bundles additional features for holistic software-supported transport planning and control in a new release of inconsoTMS (Transport Management System). These include extended integration options in the products of the inconso Logistics Suite as well as new, innovative network planning and route optimization procedures.
The developed algorithm for dynamically optimized network planning uses evaluation and analysis methods based on a machine learning procedure. Transport processes can be planned, realized and modified to suit individual requirements much more efficiently via configurable learned values (e.g. route duration, loading time, starting time, arrangement of stops, means of transport type) and flexible parameterizations during rule generation, especially in the area of tactical network planning. The solution is suitable for planning and optimizing single as well as multi-stage transport networks.
The new release of inconsoTMS also includes expanded functions for route optimization. During the determination of the optimal itinerary, availability times, stop appointments and vehicle loads, among other aspects, are taken into consideration. Individual optimization criteria can be realized as well. The optimal route results from freely selectable criteria such as processing times, route lengths, emission values or total costs.
With the new release, inconsoTMS is ready for a seamless integration of inconsoPOD (Proof of Delivery) into existing system landscapes and making planned orders available from the cloud. Therefore, the existing interfaces for inconsoWMS (Warehouse Management System), inconsoSCE (Supply Chain Execution System) and add-ons of the inconso Logistics Suite have been modified for the expanded process possibilities.
