Close-Up and Distance Scanning Available with New Datalogic Model

Scanning specialist Datalogic has announced new Auto Range capabilities in two of its most popular industrial products – the PowerScan™ 95X1 Auto Range Series and Falcon™ X4 Auto Range models.

The new Auto-Range products from Datalogic enable operators to easily move from scanning a close-up bar code on a pallet, to one on top of a warehouse rack, maximising efficiency of warehouse workers. Using a powerful LED lighting system, the imager projects a regular pattern with sharp edges to be used as a field of view indicator when close-up, while a laser aimer provides visibility for distance reading. Datalogic engineers designed and developed the new embedded 1D/2D Near/Far imager with Auto Range capabilities, which delivers a reading range that extends from 6 inches (15 cm) to more than 65 feet (20 m), and enables the scanning of virtually any barcode, in nearly all lighting conditions.

The proven robustness of these products allows them to withstand the harshest environments, having been tested and certified against repeated drops, water and dust sealing, and extreme temperatures.

This new imaging technology makes the PowerScan 95X1 AR and the Falcon X4 the best choice for retail, manufacturing, transport and logistics, and healthcare industries. Both products were designed for use in applications such as factory automation, manufacturing shop floor, and warehouse and logistic centres, where 1D/2D scanning at long-range distances is required.
