Major Accolade for Safety Barrier Range
27th January 2016
UK safety barrier manufacturer A-SAFE has impressed judges at the esteemed iF Awards in Hamburg, winning the Product Award in the Industry/Skilled Trades category for the iFlex Barrier System.
The new range advances A-SAFEs already world-leading series of protective barriers with improved impact performance and installation speed.
iFlex has modularity built in, allowing the customer ultimate flexibility. Innovative seals are a revolution for hygiene-sensitive environments and a multi-directional capability allows a safer, more economical fit in any facility.
The iF Design Awards identify outstanding achievements in design and are recognised the world over as a label of design excellence. The number of competitors this year was huge, with a high-profile international jury assessing over 5,000 entries from 53 countries in order to determine who would receive the iF seal of excellence. The awards were started in 1953 and have grown to become one of the most influential and coveted awards in the design world.
A-SAFE Industrial Design Engineer Tom Costello said: This award recognises the great team effort weve made to create the advances to our leading range of barrier products. The innovations in hygiene, modularity and safety performance really lift our barrier to a new level of excellence and were all very satisfied that this has been recognised by such a prestigious panel of judges.
This is the second consecutive year that A-SAFE have triumphed at the iF Awards, following a design accolade for their iFlex RackGuard in 2015.
The iFlex range retains the principles of A-SAFEs polymer-based barrier system which have been transformative for health and safety focused companies for over a decade when the barriers are impacted by a workplace vehicle they flex, absorb the impact forces and reform to their original state.
iFlex helps further improve A-SAFEs Four Ps of protection helping companies protect people, property and profits, while enhancing the overall performance of a facility.
