5th July 2018
Lödige Industries, which specialises in intralogistics engineering and automated car parking systems, says it has completed the acquisition of 5BY2, a Dutch automated car parking system manufacturer with projects in Europe and North America.
The 5BY2 acquisition significantly enhances Lödige Industries’ product portfolio of automated car parking solutions, enabling it to respond to a wider range of client requirements. The transaction also provides Lödige with a considerable service portfolio of operational systems, including several high profile systems in the USA. 5BY2’s successful track record in delivering maintenance and service to projects globally complements Lödige’s own extensive remote and on-site service capabilities.
“There were a number of aspects that attracted us to 5BY2,” said Arthur van Brink (right), Managing Director of Lödige Benelux, “we see significant synergies between our car park solutions business and 5BY2’s technology and market reach, enabling us to meet an even wider range of customer requirements, while at the same time strengthening our market position in automated car parking. Together we have a track record of close to 3,000 automated car parking spaces built, all still maintained by us today.”
Kamiel Koot (left), majority shareholder of 5BY2, who stays with Lödige to support business development, commented: “We have an excellent track record in automated car parking systems. Our systems present a cost-effective and reliable solution to many urban parking requirements. Together with Lödige Industries we are well positioned to address the growing demand for space saving car parking systems that are both user friendly and efficient.”
