Fronius UK to Host Third Open House Event
20th February 2017
Traction battery charging specialist Fronius is to host a Back to the Future of Charging event at its technology centre in Milton Keynes.
On 26 April, Fronius UK will be opening its doors for visitors to participate in their very own time travel experience – complete with DeLorean – as they are transported into a new era of technology. During this free event, guests will see the latest in forklift battery charging technology from the world leaders in its field. Guests will also have the opportunity to find out more about the company’s history as they are taken back through time to see some of its first ever innovations. This is not your average Open House, says the Austrian company.
Fronius welcomes forklift fleet owners to come and discuss the savings potential when using the intelligent “Ri” charging process unique to Fronius. The company guarantees to save money on the energy costs of running your forklifts – by up to a huge 30%. Its offerings range from the sale of single battery chargers to total system solutions including multiple charging modules and complete charging rooms. Monitoring of the battery charging process can also optimise charging operations and identify battery defects with Fronius’ online visualisation tool, the I-SPoT Viewer.
Guests can also find out more about the next stage in the Fronius HyLOG project, where instead of batteries, logistic trains use a hydrogen-powered PEN fuel cell. The short refuelling time of a few minutes and productivity gains due to reduced maintenance are just two of the many benefits of this system compared with conventional batteries.
Visitors can look forward to a fun day packed full of the latest cutting-edge technology with live demonstrations as well as topical seminars from both Fronius and external speakers, providing visitors an informative day of product, process and industry knowledge. As Fronius are also active in the fields of welding technology and solar energy, all attendees will have plenty to feast their eyes over as this event caters for all three divisions.
“The Open House is an ideal opportunity for people to visit our facility and gain insight into the latest trends and solutions available in today’s markets” Wolfgang Hink, MD of Fronius UK comments, “We welcome visitors to bring their operating costs on the day and our team will be able to show them the potential savings available for their forklift fleet”.
The Fronius UK Open House will take place on 26 April, 10am – 5pm with a hot lunch and refreshments being served throughout the day in its 1950’s diner. For more information about the open house and to find out how you can register to attend, visit www.froniusopenhouse.co.uk.
