9th November 2017
Cirrus Logistics has welcomed professionals from across Europe to their bi-annual event, as they gathered to discuss the latest innovative developments and future trends. The Cirrus Logistics User Group 2017 (#CUG17) aimed at the EMEA market, brings together customers from a host of sectors including third party logistics providers, retail, grocery, manufacturing and educators to name a few.
The User Group explored current technology innovations within the Cirrus Logistics product roadmap, focusing on the latest warehouse design features in CLASS. Delegates welcomed the announcement of the CLASS Visualiser module, which provides both simulated and real-time visualisation of warehouse picking bay activity. Also shared, was the new Warehouse Builder Wizard which prompts for some basic data before designing the warehouse for you. This can then be brought to life instantly using the Animation Wizard.
Customer case studies outlined the key benefits that Cirrus Logistics solutions can offer to businesses. Cathy Humphreys, sales director at Tools Group outlined why predicting omni-channel behaviour is becoming increasingly important and what the consequences for inventory planning are. Brian Gallagher, head of continuous improvement for Euro Car Parts explored how a collaborative approach between solution design and teamwork enabled a simulation model to be used for testing migration planning, process changes and timings, all supporting business growth, speed and accuracy. Whilst Kevin Cole, fulfilment strategy manager at Argos shared how building confidence and customer satisfaction were key objectives in driving changes for their logistics strategy with the introduction of Fast Track delivery.
CLASS user Svetlana Birkner, Group Warehouse Senior Manager at Carlsberg commented, “The topics discussed during the event were very interesting and useful. For me, the event encourages users to look at their routine daily job from another angle and unlock better ways of working.”
The User Group was a resounding success with a good turnout from across Europe and 100 per cent of attendees responding that they had found the conference useful. The team at Cirrus Logistics will also be supporting its Asia Pacific customers as it welcomes delegates to the Singapore User Group later this month on 14th November.
