Polishing up Nailberrys supply chain
10th September 2015
Walker Logistics, the specialist supply chain services operator, has commenced storing and distributing the range of natural nail polishes manufactured by Nailberry.
As well as supplying the various salons, spas and high-end retail outlets that stock the prestigious Nailberry brand, in due course, Walker will also fulfil consumer orders placed via Nailberrys online portal www.nailberry.co.uk
Inbound freight will arrive at Walkers Berkshire facility from Nailberrys manufacturing partner in Holland. It will be stored in a mix of pallet racking and small parts storage units to facilitate both B2B and B2C picking requirements. As part of the contract, Walker has also agreed to provide a number of value-added re-work services as and when required such as kitting and the distribution of point-of-sale material.
Nailberry is a relatively young company that has experienced an upsurge in demand for its high quality cosmetics, said William Walker, sales and marketing director of Walker Logistics.
He continued: Initially, logistics was handled in-house but, as the business has grown, this element began to become too time consuming so the decision was taken to outsource to enable the companys key personnel to focus on sales and further developing the Nailberry brand.
Nailberry founder, Sonia Hully, commented: When selecting our logistics partner, it was vitally important for us to feel that we retained a sense of control and ownership of our supply chain. We are well aware that the wrong choice of logistics company could quickly damage the strong reputation which we have built, but having spent time with them, we are confident that Walker Logistics dedicated account managers and flexible approach will mean that the company becomes an extension of our business leaving us to focus on other important aspects of our company.
William Walker added: By providing Nailberry with several core logistics propositions, we are confident that Walker Logistics will be at the heart of the companys drive to service its growing retail and online customer bases for many years to come.
