Culina Fleet Boost Prioritises Driver Conditions
28th January 2016
Culina has just taken delivery of twenty DAF XF510 6×2 Tractor Units that come with a big industry reputation and a benchmark for long distance road transport. DAF maintains that the XF is the best tractor unit ever for drivers. By placing driver comfort and working conditions as an investment and a major priority Culina is looking to show that it values its employees.
This new fleet of DAF XF510 6×2 Tractor Units offers Culinas drivers excellent driving conditions and cab comfort for long distance journeys, Said Colin Moore, of Greenhous DAF,
We also recently supplied Culina with nine DAF CF330 26 Tonne Ambient Rigid, two DAF CF330 26 Tonne Chill Rigid, one DAF LF180 18 Tonne Ambient Rigid, and two DAF LF180 16 Tonne Ambient Rigid trucks. We are also providing Culina with two year maintenance and repair contract which ensures immediate service response 24 hours a day, keeping all fleet fully operational.
In a logistics company as large as Culina ensuring its environmental impact is minimised is very important and a key criteria in the selection of new fleet.
We have invested heavily in environmentally efficient trucks and the means to monitor how our vehicles are driven. Our DAF trucks are great examples, Said Mark Matkin, Group Fleet Manager for Culina,
We can track their use comprehensively; including driver behaviour, CO2 emissions, route planning and fuel usage. Working with Greenhous DAF we monitor our fleet use and feedback our findings to enable them to evaluate the value of technological advances.
