Supply chain expert Gist says all of its sites within its temperature controlled logistics network have been awarded the BRC Global Standard for Food Safety Certification.
Gist’s newest site in EuroCentral in Motherwell, North Lanarkshire, is the latest site to receive the accreditation following its recent audit. The site forms part of the organisation’s temperature controlled logistics network, managing the warehousing and transportation of chilled and ambient food products, from manufacturer to retailer.
The BRC Global Standard for Food Safety began in the UK to help the food industry meet legislative requirements of the EU General Product Safety Directive and the UK Food Safety Act.
