Wolverhampton-based logistics specialist Pallet-Track has invested in a new fleet of forklift trucks and is also recruiting drivers in order to keep up with demands.

The 60 new state of the art vehicles, which were supplied by Linde Material Handling, can transport loads of up to 2000kg and allow for precision load handling – a vital ingredient for the business which moves an average of more than 10,000 pallets every evening.

Lisa Burrows, operations director at Pallet-Track, said: “Investment in new technology has always been at the forefront of Pallet-Track’s business vision and has allowed us to continue to achieve year-on-year growth.

“The new fleet of fork lift trucks, along with the constant monitoring of our control process, is essential in helping us keep up with increasing demand and provide an unparalleled service to our customers.

“We can now move pallets quicker, easier and thanks to the work of our excellent drivers remain the only network in the country never to lose a single consignment.”

In addition to the investment in vehicles, Pallet-Track is also actively recruiting for fork lift truck drivers to join the team at the 267,000 sq ft distribution centre in Millfields Road.

Lisa added: “Our drivers are extremely important to us and we look to show our appreciation at our annual FLT challenge – an event which showcases the skills needed to operate these vehicles and raises money for some fantastic causes.”
