Signode Industrial Group, which makes packaging consumables, tools, software and equipment to optimize end-of-line packaging operations and protect product in transit, will be at ProMat 2019 at booth# S1641. With 88 manufacturing facilities across six continents, the company does business under more than two dozen brands throughout the world. At the booth, attendees can see the innovative Octopus™ automatic rotary ring stretch wrapper and BXT3 series strapping tools in action and learn more about the StorFast cart-based, high density automated storage and retrieval system.

“We look forward to sharing our unique pallet load containment and warehousing solutions with ProMat attendees,” says Mike Stein, Director of Global Marketing & Innovation at Signode Industrial Group. “These solutions are a small example of our commitment to delivering truly customer-focused innovations that meet current and future demands.”

Among those innovations on display will be the Octopus™ Compact 20 TSI automatic rotary ring stretch wrapper (above). Competitively priced to automatic rotary arm and turntable machines in the 30-50 LPH range, the wrapper is versatile for a variety of applications and environments. With its compact size and intuitive operation, the Octopus Compact 20 TSI is ideal for manufacturers looking to increase productivity without compromising space or budgets. The modular design of the machine further allows for numerous innovative options to solve nearly any pallet unitizing challenge.

Attendees will also be introduced to the recently released Signode BXT3 series. The next generation of battery-powered combination tools for plastic strapping is designed to help enhance safety, convenience and ease of use. The tool’s variable tension speed gives the operator complete control of the speed applied to the strap. The series features real-time indication of tension force that increases the reliability of the process and reduces operating errors.

Omnichannel Warehouses in Focus for Vanderlande at LogiMAT

Dutch warehouse automation specialist Vanderlande (Hall 1, J21) will showcase its next generation of scalable solutions for the fashion, food and general merchandise markets at LogiMAT 2019 next month. The company’s evolutions have been specifically designed to meet the challenges facing ecommerce and omni-channel warehouses.

Visitors to LogiMAT will be able to learn more about Vanderlande’s latest instalment of ADAPTO. This unique 3D automated storage and retrieval system (AS/RS), with built-in sorting and sequencing capabilities, is an important aspect of Vanderlande’s FASTPICK and STOREPICK evolutions. In addition, Vanderlande will showcase ‘bin-to-bin’ and ‘bin-to-belt’ item picking at LogiMAT, as well as Smart Item Robotics (SIR). The latter is a low-risk automatic item picking solution based on a collaborative robot (or, ‘cobot’) that can safely work together with operators. This revolutionary new cobot handles dynamic product ranges without the need for SKU teaching.

Vanderlande will also be co-exhibiting at the Messe Stuttgart with sister-company Toyota Material Handling Germany in Hall 2, Stand A05 – where the TRAYSORTER, a solution for sorting flexibility, will be showcased.
