Europa agrees AMR cooperation with Geek+

A meeting was held in November 2021 at the Headquarter of Europa Systems in Żabów, Poland between the representatives of Geek+ and Europa Systems to discuss the cooperation between the companies and sign a letter of intent.

The cooperation will involve partnership in the area of using Geek+’s broad robots portfolio for Europa Systems’ integration projects, as well as partnership in the area of providing maintenance services for Geek+.

Marcin Tomkiewicz, CEO of Europa Systems, explained: “One of Europa Systems’ important goals as part of the new 2020-2024 strategy is to grow the robotics solutions portfolio. Cooperation with a global Autonomous Mobile Robots leader which is Geek+ fully aligns with our business assumptions. This partnership will enable us to provide cutting-edge AMR technology, which addresses key challenges e.g. in the area of e-commerce, ensuring higher speeds and greater flexibility in moving goods.”

Successful implementation of autonomous robots in distribution centres, warehouses and factories requires innovative technology delivered by the supplier (Geek+), but also expertise in intralogistics processes as well as experience in AMRs implementations  provided by the integrator (Europa Systems).

“Cooperation with Europa Systems will be an important strengthening of our European system integrator ecosystem. We are very excited about the potential of our new Partner for intralogistics projects,” explained Claus Folke, Senior Director, Business Development Europe, Geek+.

The partnership between Geek+ and Europa Systems is a common path to develop flexible and scalable warehouse automation systems and production logistics responding to the increasingly complex logistic challenges.

Geek+ Launches new Online Customer Experience

Geek+, an AMR leader has announced the launch of its new next-generation Virtual Booth. The virtual space allows visitors to experience robotics automation in a dynamic digital environment and provides them with the tools to make informed decisions on automation.

In light of Covid-19 and the prevalence of social distancing needs, large parts of the physical world have moved online. The Virtual Booth is the latest effort in a series of actions undertaken by Geek+, such as fully remote project implementations, online trainings and virtual seminars. This enables the company to continue driving the discussion on AI and robotics and enable customers to secure business continuity.

Hong Yu, Chief Marketing Officer at Geek+ comments: “As robotics and automation pioneers, we pride ourselves on being solutions-oriented. We can flexibly adjust to any challenge that lies ahead. We’ve created this digital space to provide a dynamic, fun, and interactive way of learning about our products. It gives our visitors access to the technologies that will bring much-needed stability and value to their logistics operations. In times of great change and uncertainty, innovation does not stop. It is our duty to help our audience access it.”

Upon entering the virtual booth, visitors can access an interactive online application called Your Project Designer. This provides a customized automation solution based on customers’ own business needs. The virtual booth is organized around the four main logistics challenges of today: efficiency, flexibility, profitability, and human resources. The stand allows visitors to safely and dynamically learn about the benefits of AI and robotics. It can also help users discover how it can impact their business operations.

Geek+ Launches Unmanned Disinfection Robots for Warehouses

AMR manufacturer Geek+ has launched two disinfection robots to customers worldwide. As the world reels from an unprecedented health crisis, robotics can play a key role in ensuring safe and healthy work and living environments, it says. ‘Lavender’ is armed with smart UV rays while ‘Jasmin’ uses liquid agents to execute swift and automated sterilisation. The two robots operate entirely unmanned with automatic obstacle avoidance and are designed to work 24/7 in all types of spaces, from warehouses to offices, schools, stores, transportation stations, and hospitals.

Yong Zheng, founder & CEO of Geek+ commented: “As the world slowly re-opens, AMRs can play a key role in safeguarding workers and the public and guaranteeing business continuity. Our two disinfection robots are designed to operate as public health guardians and fully support workers and companies in this global crisis.”

The company says that Lavender’s UV light effectively kills 99.99% of germs and Jasmin’s liquid spray reaches a kill rate of 99.99% of germs depending on concentration and type of liquid agent. Both robots can secure regular and systematic around the clock unmanned operations, thorough disinfection through comprehensive scanning, and safe operations using multi-sensor detection of objects. The robots use SLAM navigation to operate in complex environments and the system supports elevator integration.

Separately, Geek+ is taking part in a webinar tomorrow, Wednesday May 27th, 14:00 GMT on the theme of “Collaborating Over Unprecedented Peaks”. Register here.
