Suitable Pallet Truck for every Application

Clark has expanded its range of electric pallet trucks with four new models for pedestrian operation. The new pallet trucks are from the WS and SWX series with load capacities from 1.2 to 1.6 tonnes. The compact and manoeuvrable pedestrian stackers are suitable for transporting goods over short distances, for use in space-critical aisles and for loading and unloading trucks. They ensure smooth logistics processes in industry, trade and logistics. Equipped with a stable four-point support, the high lift pallet trucks achieve high residual load capacities even at great lifting heights. With the new pedestrian pallet trucks or the pedestrian stackers with driver’s platform for longer distances, Clark now offers the right truck for almost every requirement.

Maximum efficiency and flexibility

For intuitive and fatigue-free operation of the vehicles, all operating elements are conveniently positioned in the ergonomic tiller and can be operated by both right- and left-handed operators. The operator has an optimum view of the forks on all appliances and can therefore store and retrieve loads quickly and safely in narrow aisles. Numerous safety features guarantee a high level of safety during operation: For high stability, for example, the travelling speed of the high lift pallet trucks is automatically reduced as soon as the load is lifted. The rounded vehicle contour minimises potential danger points, while the four-point support ensures maximum stability. The safety tiller is fitted to the bottom left of the vehicle on all models to ensure sufficient distance from the operator. A large safety switch on the drawbar provides additional protection during use. The SWX series is also equipped with a proportional hydraulic control. The standard proportional lift ensures precise lifting and lowering even of sensitive loads.

The high lift truck series are equipped with tried and tested controllers. This makes the vehicles extremely robust and easy to maintain. Should a malfunction nevertheless occur, the error code indicator on the display provides precise information on the cause, making diagnosis easier for the service technician. The one-piece bonnet allows easy access for service and maintenance work. The service technician can also easily programme the driving and lifting parameters via the vehicle display. Practical storage compartments ensure that the operator always has tools, documents and other important utensils to hand.

WS series: Professionals for light warehouse work

The WS series pallet trucks with a travelling speed of 4 km/h are designed for light and occasional use. The series consists of the WS12, WS12M and WS10Mi models and is suitable for anyone who wants to handle simple logistics tasks with ease. The compact vehicles have a small front-end dimension and are therefore agile and easy to manoeuvre. This is particularly advantageous in confined spaces. The appliances are supplied with a lead-acid battery (72 Ah) as standard. For high availability and low maintenance, Clark also offers the pallet trucks with an optional lithium-ion battery (100 Ah). The battery can be recharged at any 230-volt socket using the integrated charger.

The WS12 with a maximum load capacity of 1200 kg and a lifting height of up to 4100 mm can be used for a wide range of applications. The agile warehouse helper is designed for transporting goods over short distances and for light applications with higher storage locations. The vehicle also proves its worth as a mobile worktable, for example for preparing goods for despatch in an ergonomic posture or for storing components in the workshop area. The lifting height can be individually adjusted for this purpose. This series is supplied with a lead-acid battery as standard. A lithium-ion battery is also available as an option if high availability is important or if you want to avoid the maintenance effort of the lead-acid battery.

With a maximum load capacity of up to 1200 kg and a mono mast with a lifting height of 1950 mm, the WS12M is extremely versatile. Whether for light stacking tasks, as an ergonomic mobile worktable or for loading service vehicles, this all-rounder can be used flexibly according to requirements. The WS12M is ideal for transporting goods over short distances and for use in space-critical work areas. Its mono mast enables excellent visibility of the fork tips and safe and stable load handling.

The WS10Mi high lift pallet truck with initial lift and a load capacity of 1000 kg is also suitable for transporting goods over short distances and for light applications with higher storage locations. Thanks to the initial lift, the wheel arms can be raised by up to 120 mm. This increases the ground clearance of the pedestrian stacker so that it can be easily manoeuvred over thresholds, ramps and loading bridges, even when loaded.

The SWX series: flexible and powerful all-rounders

The high lift pallet trucks in the SWX series are also manoeuvrable and safe to operate. They ensure the smooth completion of transport tasks in the warehouse as well as the safe and efficient storage and retrieval of goods. The SWX series comprises the SXW12, SWX16 and SWX16i models. The high lift pallet trucks impress with their powerful and maintenance-free AC drive technology, which is supported by a 1.6 kW drive motor and a 4.5 kW lift motor. All models have a travel speed of 5.5 km/h and are characterised by high lifting and lowering speeds for maximum handling performance. Thanks to lithium-ion technology, the vehicles are extremely efficient and reliable and can be easily integrated into existing logistics processes. Practical features such as the intuitive, sensitive hydraulics, a USB charging port and an additional storage compartment for mobile phones support the operator in everyday warehouse operations.

The SWX12 electric pallet truck has a load capacity of 1200 kg and a maximum lifting height of 4800 mm and is perfect for storing and retrieving goods and for transporting goods. The truck is equipped with a Li-Ion battery as standard and is an excellent choice for intensive use and high availability requirements. The powerful 100 Ah Li-ion battery can be recharged effortlessly and without any loss of service life, so that the pallet truck is always ready for use.

The SWX16 high lift pallet truck has a load capacity of 1600 kg and reaches a maximum lifting height of 5500 mm. The vehicle has been developed for the more demanding daily transport tasks in the warehouse and for loading goods. The optional powerful 205 Ah Li-Ion battery can be easily recharged without any loss of service life, so that the pallet truck is always ready for use. An external charger with 24 V, 100 Ah is included in the scope of delivery. If availability is not a major factor, the truck is also available with a lead-acid battery with a battery capacity of 225 Ah.

The SWX16i high lift pallet truck with initial lift combines performance and versatility for efficient load handling in warehouse environments. The standard 205 Ah Li-ion battery guarantees a long operating time. As the wheel arms can be raised, the SWX16i overcomes uneven floors with ease. This makes it ideal for demanding working environments. The initial lift also allows two loads to be moved simultaneously in double-decker operation. This allows the picking process to be extended over two pallets, for example. This speeds up goods handling, as distances and travelling times are saved.

New Lorry-loading Order Picker Launched

Hyster has launched a new ‘2-in-1’ truck combining the benefits of both a Low Level Order Picker and a ride on Pallet Truck. The Hyster® Order Picker Pallet Truck is tough enough that manufacturing sites and industrial warehouses can use the same truck to pick up loads and then place them directly into the back of a lorry. Likewise, they can carry out unloading and put loads away, all without operators needing to switch to a different type of materials handling equipment. This helps operations in intense handling environments to stay productive while also helping reduce costs.

“Industrial applications with manufacturing or storage operations are challenging by their very nature. Add to that increased competition, dwindling margins, and hard deadlines and its clear why it’s increasingly important for businesses to streamline their working practices and get the maximum benefit from their equipment fleet,” says Monica Radavelli, Product Manager at Hyster Europe.
“This new Hyster model features a durable design that demanding industrial operations can depend on for highly productive mixed use, from order picking in a manufacturer’s warehouse, to loading and unloading lorries in the loading dock,” Radavelli continues.

The Hyster LO2.0-3.0P Order Picker Pallet Truck is built to withstand tough environments with a robust frame and steel battery cover. It can lift up to three tonnes and features an operator position that delivers exceptional handling while generous ground clearance enables use on ramps, in addition to performing the similar indoor functions as existing Hyster Low Level Order Pickers.

“Comfortable operators tend to be productive operators. So, the Order Picker Pallet Truck is designed for a positive ride, even in rugged environments. The platform is spacious, visibility is optimised, the tiller head is easy to use, and adjustable scooter controls enable the drive unit to be customised to the operator’s height,” says Radavelli. “Integrated lights, ergonomic handles with lift / lower auxiliary buttons and different drive modes further help enhance the operator experience.”

Additional options that can be specified to match the demands of the specific application include the Intelligent Lift feature, allowing operators to lift loads and manoeuvre before reaching full lift, different fork lengths and heights, and Hyster Tracker telematics. The Hyster Order Picker Pallet Truck is available to order now from the global network of local Hyster distribution partners.

Dynamic Warehousing with New Pallet Truck

Yale Lift Truck Technologies has added an order picker pallet truck to its line-up of flexible warehouse equipment. The new solution, which previewed at LogiMAT 2024, is designed to help dynamic warehouse and intralogistics operations optimise order picking efficiency, while helping to reduce costs for applications which also need to load and unload lorries.

“Warehouses are having to find ways to pick more orders, more efficiently, not least because the retail and eCommerce industries continue to boom,” says Monica Radavelli, Product Manager for Yale Lift Truck Technologies. “Rethinking equipment fleets, and how they are used, presents a great opportunity for intralogistics operations to meet picking deadlines while navigating mounting costs.”

“The new Yale order picket pallet truck is a multi-purpose solution that gives businesses more flexibility.  It can reduce the number of trucks needed in a warehouse, and helps speed up certain operations,” Monica continues.

The Yale MO20-30X series trucks, which lift from two to three tonnes, provide many of the typical functions of a traditional Yale low level order picker but with added agility to load and unload lorries. This is thanks to smart design which puts operators in a different position and includes improved ground clearance, allowing the truck to work on ramps.

New Pallet Picker allows for dynamic warehousing

With this new Yale solution, orders can be picked and then driven directly onto a lorry. As loads do not need transferring between trucks, this saves time, and can help reduce the number of trucks needed in a mixed operation, helping control costs. Different fork lengths and heights, alongside various driving modes further support flexibility.

To empower operators to work efficiently, the design of the new order picker pallet truck also focuses on ergonomics. The operator can enjoy a comfortable position on a large platform which is positioned to give an optimum view of the warehouse environment during every journey. Adjustable scooter control allows operators to easily adjust the height to their preference, and the tiller head design offers ease of operation.

“We know that to meet the requirements of different intralogistics environments, it is essential that the new order picker pallet truck offers a wide range of options,” explains Monica. “For example, it can be specified with the Yale Smart Lift™ feature. This enables the operator to lift loads and start transporting the pallet before it is at full lift. Newer operators often find this a really helpful addition that supports productivity.”

Low-lift Pallet Truck Helper

Clark has launched a new low-lift pallet truck for light transport tasks. The vehicle with the model designation LWio15 has a load capacity of 1500 kg and is suitable for short distances in goods distribution, production or in the warehouse. The vehicle is equipped with a long-lasting and powerful Li-Ion battery, which makes the LWio15 a reliable helper in industry, trade and logistics. Especially when a low-lift truck is only needed occasionally, the LWio15 is extremely cost efficient.

Compact and safe pallet truck

The LWio15 drives and lifts purely electrically. The operator can therefore operate the truck safely and ergonomically without any effort. With a length to the front of the forks (L2 dimension) of only 400 mm and an aisle width of only 1810 mm, the low-lift truck is extremely compact and manoeuvrable. Via a switch integrated in the ergonomic tiller, the truck can also be moved with the tiller raised. This makes the low-lift truck ideal for use in space-critical work areas and narrow aisles. Optional side support rollers prevent the vehicle from tipping and ensure stable and safe handling even when cornering. The LWio15 has a lifting height of 105 mm and is available with a fork length of 900 mm or 1500 mm, depending on the application.

Li-Ion battery guarantees high availability

The LWio15 is equipped with a 24 V (20 Ah) Li-Ion battery as standard and a storage compartment in which a second battery, also with 24 V (20 Ah), can be accommodated as an option. Intermediate charging, for example during breaks, can extend the vehicle’s operating time and avoid downtimes without limiting its service life. To charge the battery, the external charger included in the scope of delivery is simply connected to a 230 V socket. The battery can be quickly and safely removed from the side when it needs to be changed.

The operator also benefits from numerous advantages that have a positive effect on operating costs: Compared to the monobloc battery, the Li-Ion battery has a longer service life. There is no additional expense for maintenance work around the battery acid, as the Li-Ion battery is maintenance-free. Intermediate charging can be carried out without a special charging room, as no gases are released during charging.

Toyota scheme cuts cost of operating hand pallet trucks

To support companies during these financially challenging times, Toyota Material Handling UK is offering an easy way of operating pallet trucks at the lowest cost and at a fixed annual rental rate with no capital outlay.

Toyota’s ‘Pallet Truck Plus’ scheme is a hand pallet truck rental option that enables users to receive a new pallet truck from the Toyota BT Lifter range for an agreed two-year monthly rental fee that can be as little as the equivalent of 79p/day.

Throughout the ‘Pallet Truck Plus’ agreement period, the truck – or trucks – will be fully serviced free of further charge by Toyota’s experienced and dedicated pallet truck service team as part of an agreed structured maintenance schedule.

In addition, in the unlikely event of a truck suffering a mechanical breakdown between scheduled service calls, Toyota’s Pallet Truck Specialists will visit free of any further charge.

Tony Sharpe, Head of Service Development and Hand Pallet Truck After Sales at Toyota Material Handling, comments: “Hand pallet trucks are in near constant use in countless warehouses, retail outlets and manufacturing sites across the country. ‘Pallet Truck Plus’ provides quality equipment at the lowest rates and complete cost transparency for users. And, of course, because fees are agreed up-front, budget forecasting becomes far simpler.

“Furthermore, the ‘Pallet Truck Plus’ service schedule will identify any potential issues with a truck that may compromise productivity or staff safety and thus prevent significant downtime – with all the cost and disruption to a business that can mean.”

While a strict servicing and maintenance regime is the best way of preventing significant downtime truck build quality is also a major factor in maintaining operational efficiency and in work-cycle tests trucks in Toyota’s BT Lifter range have lasted up to five times as long as other hand pallet trucks.

Sharpe adds: “Toyota’s BT hand pallet trucks have been setting standards in strength and performance for over 60 years and today’s BT Lifter range from Toyota Material Handling maintains these values with tests proving that these trucks are the most durable on the market.”

The full Toyota BT Lifter range – including top selling models such as the BT Quick Lifter, the BT Lifter Stainless and the BT Lifter Wet Spec – is available through ‘Pallet Truck Plus.’

Yale Europe Materials Handling continues to bring innovative solutions to the materials handling market as it launches the Yale MP16UX Pedestrian Pallet Truck.

For customers with intermittent or low intensity logistics operations who want the benefits of a very efficient truck at an affordable price, the Yale MP16UX offers the ideal solution in a slimline package.

“Ideal for retail stores and last-mile delivery, the Yale MP16UX meets the need and makes the move,” explained Eva Nachtergaele, Solutions Manager EMEA at Yale. “For back-of-store operations requiring intermittent use of materials handling products, our latest pedestrian pallet truck offers a reliable truck combined with low energy consumption, making it an incredibly attractive offering.”

The pedestrian pallet truck is designed to be slimline, lightweight, and easily manoeuvrable, all while offering stability when handling goods.

Low energy consumption

To reduce operator fatigue during a shift, the Yale MP16UX features a longer tiller arm with easily accessible butterfly controls, requiring less effort for the user to move loads.

The battery offers up to 12 hours shift life, accommodating store opening times. The fork options mean it will be able to handle common pallet sizes used in EMEA, lifting them up to 120mm. Spring-loaded castors improve lateral stability as the truck manoeuvres from A to B, and its soft lowering ensures loads are handled with care from start to finish.

“The competitive energy consumption and long shift life of the Yale MP16UX is a key selling point of our latest pedestrian pallet truck,” said Nachtergaele. “Customers can be sure that this product is ready to work efficiently and effectively whenever it is required. Baoli offers Li-ion lift pallet truck

Industrial truck manufacturer Baoli, part of the KION Group, has launched a new electric hand pallet truck. The EP 15-03, which it says is as efficient as it is versatile, is suitable for transporting goods economically and without fatigue, as well as for storing and retrieving goods.

Lithium-ion batteries ensure that the new pallet truck is both easy to handle and maintenance-free and can be recharged at any time without gas emission at a standard 220V socket. Baoli says this makes the EP 15-03 an enduring, easy-to-maintain performer in the warehouse.

“Our new low-lift truck can be used for almost any internal goods transport in small and medium-sized warehouses, for example in wholesale and retail. In addition, like all BAOLI industrial trucks, it is particularly robust and therefore ideally suited for long-term use,” says Francesco Pampuri, Brand Management Director KION ITS EMEA, describing some of the key benefits of the new machine.

At the same time, with its load capacity of 1,500kg, a tare weight of just 120kg and its 24V/20Ah lithium-ion batteries, the EP 15-03 can really get things moving – even on tail lifts or freight elevators thanks to its low tare weight.

However, the vehicle is not only characterised by its robust design. According to Baoli, it also scores with its intuitive operation. All travel and lifting functions are electrically operated. The manually operated lowering handle ensures a smooth lowering process that avoids damage to the goods. The extra low-mounted tiller reduces the effort required for steering and predestines the new vehicle for pedestrian operation.

The compact dimensions, small turning radius and precision gear make the EP 15-03 an ideal solution even for areas with little space for movement. When the precision gear switch is activated, the operator can steer the truck even when the tiller is in a vertical position. This enables particularly precise manoeuvring. The lift motor and the particularly smooth hydraulic system ensure gentle and precise lifting and lowering operations.

The EP 15-03 is powered by a maintenance-free and gas-emission-free 24V/20Ah lithium-ion battery. This is charged quickly and easily at any standard socket via the external charger. An LED light indicates the charge status of the battery. Fast intermediate charging is possible at any time without affecting the battery. Should intermediate charging processes not be possible for some reason, optional replacement batteries ensure vehicle availability.

“With the new EP 15-03, Baoli has launched a pallet truck that is much more than just a replacement for a hand pallet truck. The electric drive relieves the operator enormously and ensures significantly faster and more efficient goods flows in the warehouse,” concludes Pampuri.

New Pallet Truck Makes for Easy Goods Delivery

Robust, maneuverable, durable and flexible are some of the features of the new electric pedestrian pallet truck from Linde Material Handling. Offering even more convenient operation and enhanced safety functions, it is the ideal helper in loading and unloading trucks, last mile delivery, rapid transport in industrial applications and goods handling in supermarkets and stores.

The areas of application for pallet trucks in this weight class are as varied as the demands placed on them. In particular, they are designed to help operators transport loads quickly and safely – even in limited space. “With the new Linde MT15, we are launching a truck that is simple yet comes with all the important features of the Linde DNA, such as quality, safety, comfort and high performance,” says Toufik Oussou, Senior Product Manager Warehouse Trucks at Linde Material Handling. In order for the pallet truck to be able to maneuver in confined spaces, it has been designed with especially compact dimensions. The chassis length (dimension L2) is 400 millimeters, the overall width (dimension B1) measures 620 millimeters, and the total weight of only 180 kilograms allows the truck to be used in mezzanine floors or on lifting platforms. With a maximum speed of 5 km/h when loaded and 5.5 km/h without load, the truck is significantly faster than most other pallet trucks in its class. Its gradeability is also above the market average: the Linde MT15 achieves 8 percent when loaded and 20 percent when unloaded. A 48-volt lithium-ion battery with a choice of 20 Ah or 30 Ah provides sufficient power for up to three hours of operation. The powerpack can be recharged at any suitable socket by means of the built-in on-board charger. If there is no time for this, users can order an external charger and another battery and swap over via plug-and-play.

Numerous other features of the vehicle serve to improve the personal protection of employees and enable even more ergonomic, comfortable work. To prevent injuries, the pallet truck is equipped with a long, low-mounted tiller that creates a large safety distance between the operator and the vehicle when in motion. Even with the tiller in a vertical position, the truck can be actuated at a low speed thanks to the creep speed function. This is particularly helpful when maneuvering in confined spaces, for example in loading platforms or in narrow production and storage areas.

The tiller head, which has been further developed as well, is also designed to provide a high level of protection and much comfort. A circumferential metal ring protects the driver’s hands, and the switches for the direction of travel, initial lift, creep speed and horn, as well as the safety belly switch, are located centrally for easy access. The deep-drawn chassis prevents foot injuries and damage to the load arms. A multifunctional display provides information on operating hours, maintenance due, battery status and error codes.

Robust drive and load wheels in various designs as well as sturdy bumpers prevent premature wear. The battery management system protects against improper use and thus extends the service life of the accumulator.

New Compact Lithium-Ion Pallet Truck Launched to Boost Efficiency

An ultra-compact lithium-ion pallet truck for loads up to 1.5 tonnes has been launched by global brand of materials handling equipment, Hyster.

The new PC1.5 Pallet Truck, powered by a lithium-ion battery, can deliver greater efficiency than a hand pallet truck.

“For those currently using hand pallet trucks in the warehouse, switching to the new PC1.5 brings efficiency gains, without complex maintenance requirements,” says Matt Hardy, Solutions Manager EMEA for Hyster Europe. “Operations with lean fleets will benefit from these dependable pallet trucks that are ready to go when needed.”

Simple to use, the new lithium-ion pallet trucks offer significant benefits to the operator compared to a hand pallet truck, with powered travelling, lifting and lowering. Despite the small and lightweight design, the Hyster PC1.5 can lift up to 1.5 tonnes and helps overcome manual handling concerns when pushing or pulling heavy loads.

The tough and robust frame is extremely compact for use in tight spaces, and the truck is designed to give good performance on gradients, helping to support operator productivity. The motorised pallet truck design can work at a higher intensity than a hand pallet truck, helping to reduce the strain on operators.

When the lithium-ion battery needs replacing, operators get a re-charge alert and, in just six seconds, can exchange it, keeping the operation running with minimal interruption. A spare battery is included to support continuous operation, while an optional large battery with three-hour fast charger is available where the application demands it.

“The ultra-compact PC1.5 pallet truck is designed to be tough and reliable enough to stand-up to daily operational challenges, but with a low cost of ownership,” says Matt. “It is easy to service, with simple maintenance requirements, similar to a hand pallet truck.”

The model features maintenance free components, such as a brushless drive motor and lithium-ion battery, as well as a durable steel frame and protective cover, and 60-second drive wheel replacement.
