Conferences and surprises at TransLogistica Poland

This year, the transport, shipping and logistics industry is celebrating the 10th anniversary edition of TransLogistica Poland, the international trade fair for transport and logistics. The fair will take place from 7-9 November 2023 at the EXPO XXI Warsaw, where over 390 exhibitors and up to 10,000 participants from Poland and abroad will gather in four exhibition halls.

The fair is a must-attend event for shippers and cargo owners, manufacturing companies, trade networks, importers and exporters. Participation in the event will provide an opportunity to learn about the highest quality services in domestic and international transport, freight forwarding and comprehensive logistics services for goods. This business platform, unique in Poland, will integrate everyone professionally involved in the TSL industry, providing the opportunity to establish valuable contacts and exchange knowledge in one place and at one time.

Conferences, discussion panels and… surprises

This year’s edition of the fair will be accompanied by an interesting and extensive content programme. On all three days of the fair, the ‘Forum TransLogistica’ stage in Hall 3 will be open for lectures, speeches and panel discussions concerning the most important issues and latest solutions for transport, logistics and forwarding.

In cooperation with the editors of ‘TSL Biznes’ magazine, two conferences, ‘Transport Meetings’ and ‘TSL Green Day’, will also be prepared, which will take place on 7 and 8 November on the stage in Hall 4. The first of these will introduce the audience to the latest changes in transport law and show effective tools for optimising costs in road transport. The programme of the second conference, based largely on practical case studies, will focus on green issues in logistics and transport.

On the third day, in Hall 4, it will be possible to participate in practical Q&A sessions on tax and legal changes for the TSL sector and take part in the ‘Meeting of transport industry leaders’, a conference organised by the employers’ association Transport i Logistyka Polska (Transport and Logistics Poland). The entire schedule of the substantive programme is available on the event website.

The entire event will be complemented by attractions and surprises on the occasion of the 10th anniversary edition of the fair.

The event could not have taken place without the prestigious Plebiscytu Przyjazny Pracodawca TSL (TSL Friendly Employer Award), the only competition in Poland dedicated to employers in the Transport – Forwarding – Logistics sector and suppliers of products and services dedicated to this sector.

Online registration is possible until 6 November 2023 via this registration form.

Panattoni leases Warsaw DC to TSL client

Panattoni, a European industrial real estate market leader, has its first development for DTW Logistics – a rapidly developing company from the TSL sector. The tenant is to occupy over 25,000 sqm in Panattoni Park Warsaw West located in Błonie, and is to start using the leased space from April 2023.

The operations of DTW Logistics are based on delivering professional national and international shipping services for the road transportation of  normal, refrigerated and hazardous (ADR) goods. The company also provides logistics services. Błonie, where the company started its operations in Poland, remains a key location for the company. With the new space provided by Panattoni, once again the company will be able to increase the scale of its fulfilment and contract logistics operations.

DTW Logistics has leased over 25,000 sq m in Panattoni Park Warsaw West and, as part of the project, it is to consolidate its operations in the region under one roof. The company is to make use of an illuminated co-packing area, a bonded warehouse and large parking areas. Moreover, the development is to be equipped with a host of sustainability solutions that will allow the building to acquire BREEAM environmental certification with a rating of ‘Excellent’.

“Once again, Panattoni’s intensive work in the Warsaw region opens up new development opportunities for our clients,” says Olga Wałkiewicz, Senior Development Manager at Panattoni. “This attractive location will allow DTW Logistics to further develop in what is a strategic market for the company and the tenant will also transfer its operations to more modern space, allowing them to optimise many of their operations. It’s a wonderful feeling to add another company from the TSL sector to Panattoni’s clients. We hope that we will have many more joint developments together in the future.”

Panattoni Park Warsaw West  is located next to National Road 92, with the A2 motorway being under half-an-hour’s drive away. This connects it to the most important logistics centres in Central and Eastern Europe including Warsaw, Łódź, Poznań and Berlin. The development is around 40 minutes from the centre of Warsaw and just over half an hour away from Chopin International Airport. Eventually, Panattoni Park Warsaw West will have a full build out area of 91,000 sq m in three buildings. Currently, the first of these with an area of 31,190 sq m has been completed and has already been fully leased out. The modern facilities are suitable for a varied range of operations including warehousing, production, logistics and servicing e-commerce.

Polish apparel manufacturer relies on WMS from PSI

PSI Polska Sp. z o.o. has been commissioned by the clothing and footwear manufacturer Hisert Polska Sp. z o.o. with the delivery of the warehouse management system PSIwms 2022 for e-commerce. The order was placed via the new PSI App Store. In the future, the solution will control the processes in the logistics warehouse in Szczecin.

Hisert opted for PSIwms in a preconfigured version specifically for e-commerce. This avoids time-consuming analyses in the run-up to implementation and significantly reduces the start-up time in the production environment as well as project costs. The system also offers extensive analysis options and provides the necessary information for user groups.

With PSIwms, logistics processes, especially picking at Hisert, can be streamlined and optimised. Complete deliveries can thus be delivered to customers as quickly as possible. The monitoring of order processing in real time additionally provides information for the employee bonus system. The start of operations is planned for January 2023.

“To meet the growing challenges of the e-commerce market, we relied on a proven solution that is already being used successfully by many companies. PSIwms contains a complete set of functions that enable us to implement it quickly and achieve a very high level of efficiency in all logistics processes. At the same time, we can make maximum use of the system’s basic configuration and make any necessary adjustments during operation,” explains Wojciech Drobczynski, Process Manager at Hisert Polska Sp. z o.o.

The PSI Group develops its own software products for optimising the flow of energy and materials for utilities (energy grids, energy trading, public transport) and industry (metals production, automotive, mechanical engineering, logistics). The industry-specific products, which are built from standard components, are sold both directly and via the multi-cloud PSI App Store and can also be customised by customers and partners themselves. PSI was founded in 1969 and employs more than 2,200 people worldwide.

InPost warehouse is one Poland’s greenest

InPost’s new warehouse at the P3 Mszczonów Park, on which Gleeds Polska was appointed to deliver project management, cost management and quality/construction supervision services, has been recognised as achieving one of the highest BREEAM 2016 NC Industrial system scores in the Polish industrial market to date. The 17,300 sq m InPost complex secured Very Good certification, receiving a score of 65.4%.

Located around 30 miles southwest of central Warsaw, the new facility serves as a cross-docking centre for InPost’s branches throughout the country. It also acts as a sorting centre for the region of Warsaw, as well as supporting the courier company’s primary sorting hub in P3 Piotrków Park. The main hall has 79 docks, one “0” level gate and three additional gates for couriers and delivery vehicles, allowing it to handle several hundred thousand consignments a day, sorted by around 300 people.

International property and construction consultancy Gleeds provided comprehensive advice and guidance throughout the programme, ensuring P3 was able to build the most sustainable scheme possible for their tenant.  The bespoke unit incorporates a host of energy-saving solutions, such as PIR core panels, LED lighting, solar collectors for water heating, and a rainwater retention system.

The development also took the role of outside space into consideration, with green areas designed to maintain biodiversity, electric vehicle charging stations, and bicycle shelters to encourage staff to leave the car at home. By taking a sustainable approach, Gleeds has enabled the client to reduce waste and air pollution created by the facility, improve efficiency thanks to optimisation of site layout, as well as reduce costs associated with water and energy consumption.

Ewa Drachal at Gleeds Polska said:“P3 Logistics Parks’ commitment to achieving BREEAM ‘Very Good’ as minimum is evidence of the growing demand across Poland’s real estate market for environmentally friendly development. This shift in practice is crucial and is the first step toward creating more sustainable business models in this area. I personally find it very satisfying to have an influence over the way we approach warehouse construction and operation in terms of their environmental impact, and am delighted to be part of the wider team which managed to obtain such an impressive score.”

Bartłomiej Hofman, Managing Director at P3 Logistic Parks Poland, added: “We received excellent support from Gleeds Polska, with the team helping us to meet the expectations of all stakeholders without compromising the environmental integrity of the site. Not only did they help us to fulfil the BREEAM criteria on this project, but they also enabled us to introduce a new, greener development policy which will be evident on future schemes. Because environmentally focused construction projects can contribute to a longer building life, savings in the operational phase and to increased user comfort.”
