Aligned values and ambition

Zetes’ investment in Robotize was a natural progression, as both companies share a common mission: to deliver value-added solutions that enhance, rather than replace, human capabilities.

Pierre Lambert, CEO of Zetes, commented: “We are excited about our new investment in Robotize. Both of our companies are driven by the same values—delivering top-tier solutions that empower our customers and elevate service quality. This perfectly aligns as well with our mother company, Panasonic. Together, we will develop comprehensive solutions that will enhance internal logistics operations and support our customers’ evolving needs.”

Anders Pjetursson, CEO of Robotize, echoed this enthusiasm: “Joining forces with Zetes opens up new possibilities for us, as our first successful collaborations have already demonstrated. Zetes’ impressive portfolio of customers provides the perfect foundation to expand our capabilities as our specialized AMRs are a perfect fit with Zetes high-quality business applications.”

Cloud-based Labelling, Marking and Coding

Seagull Scientific supplies software to design, print, mark and code labels, RFID tags, products, and packaging. Its BarTender Cloud™ allows users to print labels in the cloud. But until now, they had to design those labels using on-premise software.

As of today, the launch of BarTender Cloud Designer allows businesses to design as well as print their labels in the cloud. Users can access all of BarTender’s label design features from their browser without having to install any software. With a proven easy-to-use design interface and integrated wizard-driven tools, users can quickly create any label with no design experience or the need for additional training.

Industry Commentary

Harold Boe, CEO of Seagull Scientific says: “True design-and-print cloud labelling is finally here. As organizations undertake digital transformation initiatives and move their labelling to the cloud, being able to design labels without on-premise software was the last critical step. The launch of BarTender Cloud Designer is another step in our company’s commitment to providing user-friendly, cost-effective solutions for our customers. We took the BarTender Label Designer that everyone loves and optimized it for usage in the Cloud.”

Industry expert John Wirthlin, Principal Owner of Tip of the Spear Consulting LLC, says: “The BarTender Cloud Designer is a revolutionary and innovative cloud version of the label designer already used throughout the supply chain in all industries. BarTender Cloud with the new integrated BarTender Cloud Designer makes labelling even easier – users can create, manage and print their labels all from the cloud.”

Hans Lissens, a labelling expert with Zetes, a leader in European auto identification and capture solutions and a major BarTender reseller partner says: “My customers will receive five significant advantages from a 100% cloud-based labelling solution:

– Eliminate inefficiencies – they can create, manage, and print all their labels with a single seamless solution – no more creating labels on a desktop and uploading to the cloud for printing.
– Accelerate time-to-first print – with access to pre-defined label template libraries, including industry standard templates like GS1 and Walmart RFID, and modern cloud-based design tools with intuitive interfaces, they can quickly create and print labels with little or no training.
– Lower IT costs – a 100% cloud-based system means no client-based on-premise hardware or software required, eliminating associated purchase and support costs.
– Eliminate programming costs – with pre-built data connectors, no-code connectivity, and true REST API.
– High-performance printing and management – optimized printing to over 8,000 industrial, marking and coding printers along with defining permissions and roles, monitoring print and usage history, and ensuring regulatory compliance all from the cloud.”

Upgrade to High-performance Voice Technology

Henderson Foodservice has upgraded their existing voice picking system, ZetesMedea Voice, with the latest high-performance voice technology. Thanks to this upgrade, the food distributor will increase throughput and productivity, whilst shorten its delivery times and ultimately improve customer value.

Henderson Foodservice Ltd, a subsidiary of the Family-owned Henderson Group, owners of the Spar, Eurospar, Vivo and Vivoxtra franchises in Northern Ireland, has been distributing food and grocery-related products to the convenience retail sector for over 100 years. The company faced a range of supply chain optimisation issues before it began working with Zetes in 2006 to digitalise manual warehouse processes and implement ZetesMedea Voice into its chilled warehouse.

“Through several years of successful collaboration, Henderson has achieved real-time control and visibility of all supply chain processes, from goods receipt to picking to the final arrival of groceries in stores. The use of Zetes’ solutions has not only delivered a rapid return on investment, but also significant efficiency gains in terms of reduced error rates and greater operational efficiencies. So, when it was time to upgrade our existing voice solution, we once again partnered with Zetes.” Philip Mehaffey, Head of Logistics at Henderson Group.

High performance technology

Investing in advanced voice technology enables Henderson to secure the responsiveness of its warehouse transactions and ensure that the team always deliver exceptional levels of customer service. The updated ZetesMedea Voice solution brings many value-added functionalities such as, remote view access, which implies that the user can share screen with the remote warehouse management team. This gives the back office full operational control and real-time access to a wealth of data, including tasks, productivity, and order status in one central place. In addition, with the dialog viewer feature, warehouse supervisor can track and view workflows and ongoing tasks, proving real-time visibility of performance. Should errors occur, the management can make changes straightaway and avoid disruption. With all the upgraded features, Henderson can easily access and monitor performance intelligence reports and track critical operational KPI’s in real-time.
The untrained nature of the solution also enables the quick onboarding of new employees, reducing time spent on training and ensuring new operatives can be operational within minutes.

Managing the entire mobile life cycle

Through the deployment of the MCL™ Mobility Platform, Henderson can manage the entire mobile infrastructure lifecycle, from deployment and integration, right through to the management of applications, devices and users. They benefit from a ‘build once deploy to many’ approach, reaping all the benefits of mobility, but without the associated complexity.

Its use assures 100-percent transparency, IT availability regardless of location, optimised repair cycles, flexible remote maintenance and cost-efficient process and device management.
“We have been working with Zetes for more than a decade, and they have always been responsive, embracing our projects wholeheartedly. We are confident that the new technology upgrade will provide us with an excellent platform as we continue to grow our business.” adds Philip Mehaffey.
